I am sorry to hear that he isn't feeling good. Does he have diarrhea as well as blood in his stool? Is he up to date on his vaccines? and have you had a stool sample checked by your vet for parasites? Is he eating OK and what is he eating? I would say that in a vaccinated puppy parasites are the most common causes of diarrhea ( roundworms, coccidia, giardia to name but a few), so it is important for a stool sample to be checked by your vet who will likely run a couple of tests on the stool. In the meantime feeding him a bland diet for example plain cooked chicken and rice or chicken baby food will often help.

my pups stools dont seem to have blood in them,it is straight after.he has not had his inoculations yet as he is only 7 weeks.I took him to my vets last tuesday for a pre vaccine check, was told he was fine. i have him on puppy food (wainrights).his appetite has not changed.he loves his food and he always has plenty of water.

even the blood straight after pooping could be parasite related. Other conditions could be anal sac issues but would be unlikely if you aren't seeing any scooting behaviour and viral infection is also unlikely if he is as bright as you say and eating well. Did they check a stool sample at the prevaccine check? Either way I think he warrants a check by your vet if he hasn't improved over the weekend
