how can look after my sick gerbil until he gets to a vet?

My 2 1/2 year old gerbil has been acting very strange for the last day. He is usually very active and curious but has suddenly lost his appetite, isn't drinking much, is spending all day in his bed with his eyes 3/4 closed and i think he's breathing heavier than normal. Please help, he won't even eat sunflower seeds. I don't think he has diarrhea but i dont know how to check for this. He also has epilepsy. I wll be taking him to the vet later but my mum will be out until the evening. what can i do to care for him until she gets back?

Symptoms: Breathing, No Appetite & Anorexia, Behavioral, Obesity & Weight Gain, Seizures & Fits

    I'm very sorry, but I think the only you can do is wait until your mother comes home, an then take him to the vet as soon as possible. Good Luck, Gabriella
