If Holly is putting some weight on the paw, then chances are, we are not dealing with a broken bone. We are most likely dealing with a soft tissue injury, such as a muscle sprain. These usually get better with rest, though limping is reduced quicker by giving an anti-inflammatory injection.

If you are at all concerned I would recommend a visit with your veterinarian as it is difficult for me to give you the all clear as I cannot examine her. If you decide to wait a few days please go to the vet if it is not better or at least improving.

If there is a chance that Holly was bitten on the leg by another cat then I would go to see your vet. This would mean that an abscess would be forming and she would need a course of antibiotics.
