Are your cats spayed and nuetered? Cat bite wounds can be quite bad if left untreated and get infection.

Kendra has been spayed the Toms are not mine, they appear at night in the garden. Have decided to bring Kendra in just after dark and let her out at dawn. She is out most of the day anyway and tends to sleep at night ( her routine since 5 weeks old). She is on antibiotics for the bite.

I understand more now. Unfortunately these things may happen when you allow your cat to roam outside. Cats are very territorial, and often fight over it. The only recommendation is to make sure your pet is FELV/FIP negative and keep her indoors at all times. Good Luck.

Just to say that it seems these Toms are let out at night and are in during the day I think Kendra can smell them first thing. As I have always kept her in at night (foxes) etc I think she will be okay as long as Iam there first thing. I cant keep her in as she does love to explore, and she wont wear anything like a harness or even a collar.I will Just have to keep an eye on her. Thanks anyway.
