Doggy diarrhea

my dog has has diarrhea, mucus -y and colour change for the last three days. But he is still active, is begging for food, and is eating and drinking water.

Symptoms: Itching & Scratching, Diarrhea

    Hello,  diarrhea can be an indication he may have eaten something that did not agree well with him. It can also be sign of intestinal parasites, animals tend to shed the ova (eggs) more than actual "worms" so I'd recommend at the very least dropping a fecal sample off at your vet to have them run a fecal analysis to rule out the possibility. As bad as this sounds but, the fresher sample the better, sorry. If possible have him examined by your vet so that they can properly assess him. In the mean time you can try feeding him a bland diet- cottage cheese, boiled chicken with no skin, plain steamed white rice- it may help the symptoms. Thank you for your question.
