My dog (5 months old) has been vomiting all day and won't eat her food. She is drinking water. This is the 2nd time in the past couple months.

Belle's problem may be as simple as dietary indiscretion (also known as garbage gut).  Has she gotten into anything such as old food, the bathroom or kitchen trash?  Because of her age and the repeat vomiting, I would also be concerned with a congenital disease, meaning she was born with it.  She could have liver disease, an esophageal problem, or even a heart defect.

For now, withhold food until she has stopped vomiting for 24 hours.  Then offer her a bland diet of boiled rice and chicken (NO added oil or salt!).  Slowly transition her back to her normal dog food over about 3-4 days.

If she continues to vomit tomorrow, she needs to see a vet.
