Swollen Fetlocks / lameness

Hi, I have an 11 yr old mare. She had laminitis in 2005 but is fully recovered. I use her for light hacking, but have not been able to ride her much over the past year due to work commitments. A few weeks ago I began to spend more time riding as I noticed that she was becoming overweight again. Yesterday I went on a 2 hour hack, and half way around I noticed that her hind fetlocks kept 'buckling' - giving way as if she had trod on a stone or something. It was only one every ten minutes or so. This morning I went to get her in from the field and her hind legs are very stiff, with both hind fetlocks swollen. Her left hind fetlock, when trotted, does buckle occasionally. After hosing the legs for around ten minutes each, the swelling subsided slightly. Her shoes have been on approx 5 weeks but look fine. What do you think this could be please?
