Troy has a boil / spot just underneath his mouth. Yesterday it bursted and today become bigger and redder. Should I take Troy to the vets or will it just dry up?

The most likely thing is that this will dry up and disappear. It would help if you bathed it several times daily in salt water. Sometimes these kind of lesions need antibiotics, so if it does not look like clearing up in 3-4 days you should probably get it looked at by a vet. Very occasionally these lumps are something more serious so if it didn't heal up this could be investigated.
