the guinea pig has started biting the fur off the rabbit and the rabbit seems reluctant to eat when the guinea pig is around. Why is this happening and what can we do about it?

Hi- Guinea pigs and rabbits are best not kept together. Biting the fur is a dominance thing and the guinea pig is telling the rabbit that he is the boss. That's also likely why the rabbit won't eat when the pig is around. It would be best for both if you separated them and put them in different cages, although it is better for the guinea pig if he/she has another guinea pig as a friend. Just make sure it is the same sex and a youngster when you put them together.
