Dog hates the car

i have a 13 year old boston terrier who hates to ride in the car...have taken her to get a hamburger or ice cream.. nothing works.. when medicated from the vet she still pants and shakes. have tried all kinds of rewars when gettin into the car too no avail..do you have any suggestions as we are goin on an exteded trip..love her so much but is a pain... thamks for any help you can suggesr.. have thought a do phsic but not sure where to start thanks again

    One thing that may work is a DAP spray or diffuser, they release pheremones which calm the dog, they are often used for separation angst, and fractious dogs. You may need to start this for a while before you travel.
