I have a 7month old bearded dragon and recently i noticed he is not haveing bowel movements every day like normal and his last bowl movement was more green than black and is runny. The other thing i also noticed is his toes were twitching, but i have only seen this happen once. i know these are all signs of MBD (calcium deficiency)so i am really concerned, but i dont have $50 and then some to take him to the vet right away.Is there anything i could for him that will help untill i can take him to the vet?

Symptoms: Constipation, Diarrhea

go and by some calcium powder at your pet store. if lack of calcium is the problem thaen this is the solution. lightly dust your crickets and vegies. and bying gut loaded crickets (gut loading is feeding the crickets fish food or someother protien filled meal 5 or more hourse before feeding your dragon) is a good way of givng your beardie a protiens and calcium packed meal. crickets by themselves hav low nutritional value. an if you dont feed your beardie vegies that is a major issue. your should give your dragon a salad of leafy greens, shredded carrots and other vegies. every few days. this contains many vitamins that are required for a dragons diet. also, do you have the required lighting? youe need both a heat lamp and a uv light. dragon need the sunlight. and since they are kept inside a pets they require uv lighting to provide them the benefits of being outside. good luck
