Bubbly skin on cats leg?

Rating: 10

my cat broke her leg 8 weeks ago and underwent a major op as she had fractured her humarus. (right front upper leg). the dr was very happy with her recovery. lastnight i have noticed that the bottom part of that leg showed signs of injury, as it was swollen and tender to the touch. I at first thought she injured it by scraping it hard agains something, but tonight i noticed that her other leg is showing the same signs. It looks like muscle tissue damage, is swollen (feels like "bubbly"). We have just spend a major amount of money on the opp, and dont have finances to take her now... but i dont want her to feel hurt. I have the xrays in electronic format, but dont think that would show the problem that we have now. Please help.

    Hi,

It sounds like she may have an infectio n under the skin called cellulitis, given what you describe. Did the vet put a plate, screws or pins in her leg. It is really important that you take her back to the vets ASAP.

    Regards
