Cat not eaten 4 days

Rating: 8

He is 8 years old. He hasn't eaten since Tuesday (4 days ago). He threw everything up and is now dry heaving. He drinks very little water, only to throw that up too. I tried to give him pet grass--threw it up. I forced some caster out with a dropper last evening to see if he had a hair ball blockage. That stayed down. But nothing passed. What could be the problem? I have been giving him water with the dropper too.

He has not eaten or drank in 4 days & is vomiting. You need to get him to a vet right away as he will be severely dehydrated and need intravenous fluids at least, probably blood tests and xrays too to find out what is causing the anorexia.

If a cat doesn't eat for 5 days it can get a condition called hepatic lipidosis which is irreversible so you must act now.

PLEASE get him to a/your Vet ASAP.

    I hope he gets better.

    Regards
