Hi there
Rabbits are natural grazers so do eat for long periods of the day. It is important that you feed him the right food though. The most important thing for a rabbit to eat is GRASS and HAY. 90% of their food should consist of hay or grass, or leafy greens (spinach, dandelions, etc). The remaining 10% should be veggies such as carrots and other veggies, especially root veggies. If you feed the rabbit pellets, these should only be given in very small amounts. One mistake rabbit owners sometimes make is to supply pellets ad lib, which causes dental problems and overweight.
Hope this helps, let me know if I can be of any more help.
