BABY KITTEN CARE

Rating: 0

I found a kitten under my bushes it appears to be approx.3 weeks old. The mother is a feral cat that looks to be starving and doesn't seem to have enough milk. I have been feeding the kitten from a doll bottle until I could get a nurser for it ,but I am not sure how much I should feed it or how often ? Also its eyes are matted and seeping I bought some eye cleanse , but is there something else I should be doing ?

Symptoms: Eyes

Be very careful how you handle the kitten and keep it isolated away from other pets.  Besure to wash your hands with disinfestant soapafter handling kitten.  You must keep the kitten warm, kittens this young can't regulate body temp.  The best way would be to wrap a heating pad ina  towel and set on low in a box that the kitten is in.   Do not feed the kitten cow's milk.. it will casue major problems.  You can get a Kitten replacement formula at most pet supply stores.   KIttens this age also need help relief themselves.  With a wash cloth dampened with warm water , stroke teh rectal area until he begins to urinate , do the same thing to encourage a BM.  As with most babies once they are clean and dry and warm he will be ready to eat.. IT is very important to take the baby in to ur Vet as soon as possible for an exam.
