cranberry juice for rabbit?

  • bailey

my rabbit at first didnt eat or drink much that was about 3 days ago.now he's eating but still not drinking much, not like he use too. he lays in the corner of his cage and doesnt move much, untill i take him out of his cage to see if he'll run around, which he does. he usually drinks from a water bottle so i switched to a bowl to see if it makes a difference,it doesnt really. i've been searching the internet for some advice and someone told me you can mix water with some cranberry juice to see if he'll drink, but i would rather have a second opinion..please help

    Hi Mandy,

Yes, you can try juices such as cranberry or blackcurrant. I would also be concerned that Bailey may have some type of illness and the not drinking and lethargy is the first sign you have seen of this. To be sure I would suggest taking him to your vet for an examination.

    Regards

    Matthew
