intermittant limping/pain

Rating: 0
Lucky
Lucky

Lucky has been limping periodically and whines in pain when he gets up or lays down. We have checked his paw and elbow onhis left front paw and can find nothing. It seems to be in his shoulder. He cries when you lift him leg out away from the body.(like a wing) He lays on his left side and does not appear to be in pain. This is also intermittant. He will be fine for a few days and then he will limp again. e jumps off the furniture all the time and we thought he may have pulled a muscle. We are unable financially to take him to the vet right now. Would it be okay to give him children's ibuprofen a couple times a day when he is in pain? Thanks
