considerable bleeding from bottom

11 year old femal beagle bleeding from bottom area. wont let me close enough to see if blood is coming from rectum or vagina. Considerable amount of blood. What should I do?

    If you can, see if you have any Vets in or near your area that does emergency service at night.

    if she won't let you get close to look it's going to be tough to even see if you can slow or stop the bleeding. if you can, apply pressure to the area,until you can get to a Vet.

    If you have any Benadryl at home you could give some of that,maybe it will calm her enough so you can look at her.

    dosage for benadryl is 1mg per pound. i.e. 28 lbs = 28mg

    I hope you can get a hold of a vet tonight.
