I am wondering if iggy has a broken nail, or has somthing stuck in his paw. other possibilaties could be a slight sprain at it's painfull. pain can be one reason why cats & dogs refuse to eat. If a animal is in pain or discomfort they will pant, seem restless and not act themselves.  In any case I would suggest taking him to see your Vet if it continues. As far as giving anything for pain. I would wait to speak to your Vet first, since we don't know what maybe wrong. Sometimes before seeing the vet and you give pain reliever for the first visit for this problem might not help the Dr. with diagnosis.

I hope this helps you. I hope you find out soon what's wrong with iggy.

    Regards,

    Barry
