Cat licking when scratch rump

When I scratch my cat on the back on the spine near her tail, she licks as though she cannot help it. The more you scratch her the harder she licks. She will lick whatever is within reach of her tongue, and if you try to hold her head, her tongue goes crazy. She doesn't groom herself excessively and doesn't have any other problems I know of. Is this just a crazy quirk or could there be a hidden problem.

Nope as a rule. My cat does the same thing it drives some cats & dogs nutz,

were not totally sure what causes it, and it's not all cats or dogs just a small number, that their is this one spot on the body if you scratch it they go crazy.

I hope that answers your Question.
