Loss of facial muscle mass

about 6 months ago Wrigley started losing some muscle mass in his face. At first I thought it was just the extra exercise that he was getting, but the muscle loss has continued. The muscle above the eye socket, below the jaw, and near his ears continues to decrease. My local vet could not come up with any diagnosis after doing blood work, but did not think it looked healthy. Do you have any suggestions to what might be going on? Thank you.

It can be few things, But the one that jumps out at me is...

facial nerve paralysis. a.k.a... Bell's palsy

Call your vet and ask if he/she hasn't told you about that.

    I hope that helped you.

    regards, Barry
