My 18 year old cat is drinking water a lot more than normal and susequently urinating more because of it. Should I be concerned? I have not changed his diet and he is strickly indoors. He is extremely healthy otherwise.

Older felines can have many problems when they start to become senior. I would recommend you taking yours in for some routine labwork. A lot of senior pets can start to have renal and liver issues. Renal issues can explain the excessive drinking and urinating. Also diabetic animals can have that problem. I would also recommend doing a urinalysis to rule out bladder infections. I hope that helps. Andrea
