A question about tick preventatives for dogs,
I have used in the past a tick collar (Preventic) for keeping ticks off my dogs when training in the fields. While this has worked ok, I was wondering if using the collar in combination with some of the spot on formulas such as Bio Spot in particular for added protection is safe? During these spring months ticks can be quite thick. The Preventic collar uses Amitraz as the main ingredient, whereas Bio Spot uses Permethrin. Everything I can find on the Net points to it being ok. Have not contacted the manufacturers of either though to confirm. Just wondering what your thoughts are?
