Back pain

Her first episode with her back was in 2005. She is now having another however this time she has some pain. Her first bout it was easy to get her to lay down. This time she seems to prefer to sit. Is this okay?

Symptoms: Pain, Paralysis

    If she doesn't want to lay down,then she is in some pain/discomfort.

    I suggest taking her to see your Vet. Take some x-rays & take it from there.

    We finally got her to lay down. She is still in some pain, however, our Vet has upped her tarbutrol to 5mg. We can"t get a hold of him at this time so my other question is will it hurt to up her predisone and then contact my Vet as soon as he can be reached?

    Unfortunitly I couldn't tell you.

    Veterinarians are only able to make decisions regarding prescription of medications or dosing if the animal is 'under their care', which means they must have physically examined it. So while we can give you general advice, we have to show restraint with these sorts of queries. Sorry!
