Drinking Water

How much water should a 4 month old (33 lbs) Lab/shepherd/retriever mix typically drink. She seems to drink constantly all day long. If the bowl is empty she sits down next to it and puts her foot in it and pushes it around until someone refills it.

This also means she pees constantly. She is taken out every 45 -60 minutes.

If it normal, that's fine. I just wondered if their were guidlines... like humans 6-8 glasses a day.

Hello...it is possible she is a big drinker, if she eats dry food & is active, being a lab retriever doesn't surprise me.

One thing is that Diabetes is something to consider whenever an animal drinks allot of water. If she's acting okay & is active I wouldn't worry too much.

    Hope This helps   Regards,
