    Dear Benji,

Let me start by telling you a little about your elbow…The elbow joint works like a hinge. It is made up of three bones, which normally fit together perfectly. The single bone of the upper foreleg is called the humerus, the two bones of the lower foreleg are called the radius and the ulna. The ulna is the longer one, which makes up the point of the elbow, called the olecranon. Short Ulna Syndrome is a condition where the ulna has not grown at the same rate as the radius.

    Hope this answers your question.

Thank you, that is what the vet said my dog has, how do you fix it ? my vet has taken the xrays for a second opinion, to make sure he does have this, and said he might need an op. please can you tell me what the op would in tale, is there other alternatives than an op ? He is already limping after running and he is on Metacam painkillers at the moment. He is only 9months old.
