I bought this dog about 3 weeks ago at a auction. She was not taken care of very well. All they used her for was breeding. I am wondering what I can do to get her to gain weight. She is really skinny. I have wormed her and starting giving her vitimans. I let her eat when ever she wants, I always leave food out for her. Is ther anything else I can do. Thanks

Hi there,
You could feed a growth diet for a couple of week and see how she gets on.
But i would be worried at her age, that she may just be a skinny girl, I would recommend feeding an Senior dog diet.
Chicken, fish and rice would be good as a supplement, but nothing too high in protien.
Might also be worth taking her for a general check up at the vets.
