cat bite?

Rating: 10

My cat he...on his neck is missing some hair, but he has also got some marks, our maid disclaimed it might be bite marks or scratch marks. i am a bit worried that he is fighting with my other cat. but my other cat is really sweet, i know they play alot tho. roughly, so it might be that. i am a bit worried. his eye looks a lil irritated too which leads me to believe more that its a scratch or something. i have separated them and i told our maid to take him to the vet tomorrow immedietly. what might this be?

    Hi,

Sounds like either your cat has been fighting, in which case he could develop an abscess if he has been actually bitten, or your cat has a flea problem. Flea allergy can occur with just one or two fleas, which you would not see, and cause cats to overgroom, leaving bald areas. If you haven't done so already, put some Frontline anti-flea spot on on both your cats (great value if you buy online here).

The eye may also be traumatic conjunctivitis after a scratch there while fighting. These usually don't need treating but a vet will stain the cornea to make sure there is no damage to the eyeball itself.
