My ferret's nose has turned yellow. Is that normal?

    Hi,

I assume you have tried washing it? If it is still yellow then, see if you can have a look at Lucy's gums, and also pull back her eyelid and look at her conjunctiva (the pink bit). If they also appear yellow then Lucy might be jaundiced, ie have a liver problem. This would need veterinary attention.

    Good luck

Thank you for responding. After I sent this, her nose seemed to turn back to its normal pink color. Today when i got home i looked at her and her nose was yellow again. she was sleeping when i got home and it was a little warm in here. Her gums and eyes look fine to me. When we get warm our faces turn pink. would that be kind of what she was experiencing?

Could be part of her normal pigmentation, especially if she is white or albino. Certainly nothing to worry about if it goes away - jaundice wouldn't do that.
