Yes it sounds like he may be having some back and joint issues. If he warms up out of it as the day progresses he may well be arthritic. Does he have any other health problems and is he overweight? If he is over weight then weight loss will help to some degree. I usually reccomend that my arthritic patients take glucosamine and chondroitin and fish oil capsules too. If this doesn't help then your vet can help out with some pain relief medications for him.

hmm, tricky! well i think you should go to a vat to cheak it out, but i think it may have something to do with the fact that your dog may be getting old and sore. it may also be that your dog has been in a fight and was hurt in the back/neck/legs that could lead t this or your dog may just be tired, i know this sounds funny but dog's bodys like to go to sleep around the same time each day, maybe you should make a doggy bed time, it might just do the job ;) i hope that helped, Elizabeth

I suggest going to vet. But it may very well be arthritis. How old is he? Has he had any previous injuries?
