Hamster anal problem

my hamster has something that appears reddish in color coming out of his anus, he has not gone to the bathroom all day, I tried pulling on it but there was no give, any ideas?

Symptoms: Constipation, Lethargy

    Hi there,#I would be inclined to take him to the vets for a check up, as if he has been constipated it could be a prolapse of his rectum, where the inside part of his bottom comes out due to straining.

    This can get infected quite quickly and be quite painful.

    He my need an operaion to put it all back in place.

    never pull on anything hanging out of anywhere on any animal, take it to a vet.
