my dog ran away on thurs. he has been having diahrea and vomiting sence we got him back on sat. he was fine til he came up missing. please help me

It sounds like he might have eaten something he shouldn't have. Watch him for dehydration and hypoglycemia, keep him comfy, and call the vet. You should take him in as soon as possible. If he gets any worse, I would take him to the emergency hospital. The problem I see is that for 48 hours, he has been sick...if it is a toxicity issue, it may be to late to chelate. Dogs that have been poisoned can get worse and even die very quickly, so I wouldn't leave him alone at all until the vet can examine him.
If he becomes lethargic or if he fails to eat or drink for more than 48 hours... or if there is a significant amount of blood in the stool or urine, seek emergency care. Either way, he will need medical attention as soon as possible.
