our 12 yr old rat terrior is urnating often, with possible blood showing,he is bone thin and sleeps all day except to urinate. He does not always make it outside and urinates in bedding. what can be done to improve his quiality of life?

Please take him to your Vet as soon as possible
Without seeing him it sounds like he may be having kidney failure. And only a DVM can determine that by running some blood work to check his liver & kidney functions.
Kidney failure is not the only thing, but it would be high no my list of what it may be.
The sooner you take him to your vet, the better chance he has to get better again.
Your vet would prescribe some meds & special diet to ho home with.
