My cat is an indoor kitty.A little more than three weeks ago,he got out in a severe storm.He was lost for three days but came home.He was dirty,lost a bit of weight but,in general,looked ok.I changed his food from dry to wet to help him gain his weight back.He had a small "normal"discharge from one eye,nothing significant.Six days ago,there was a marked change in his behavior.He will not come when called.He does not want to be held(this is a cat that stayed in my arms all day).He no longer sleeps with me as he did.He cried constantly to go outside.When I wouldn't let him,he urinated on a sofa(not a spray-saturated).He cleaned himself excessively(all over,not one specific area).He scratches his ears and shakes his head as if he has mites.The vet checked him.He has no visable skin condition,no mites,no urinary infection,no mouth ulcers,no fever.He was given a clean bill of health.That was 2 days ago.He is getting worse.He urinated on the floor(I am letting him out on the balcony as that seems to be the only place he is content).He continues to clean himself.He acts as if he doesn't even know his name or me.He seems to be losing a bit of weight now.I do not know what to do but am taking him to the vet again tomorrow.PLEASE,tell me if anyone has any idea what is going on with him.I am desperate.I love him dearly and want to help him.Thank you.
