vommitting

hi my ginger cat has vomitted and in it was some sort of what looked like a worms but he has been wormed 6 weeks ago and after doing some research it doesn't look like any of the ones you get your wormtablets for.
also up to a few weeks ago i found regular drops of blood with his pooh he had bloodtests done but they came back negative what would you suggest? as i'm worried many thanks.

    Hi,

    If you have seen what sounds like roundworms in his vomit then there are porbably many many more still inside. some of the pet shop and over the counter products are not so powerful, and I would advise using a better prescription product (in the UK use milbemax, drontal, or panacur). Roundworms have a 3 week life cycle, that is a worm egg will grow into an egg laying adult in 3 weeks. Therefore treat again for worms and repeat after 2 and again 4 weeks.

    If your cat is unwell in any other way, please get him checked by your vet as there are many other causes of vomiting.
