Hi, I have a 8 year old German Shephard - he has been vomiting and is very slow and lathargic - normally he is a guard dog (alert and fast) - he is also not accepting any food - i have read that it is best not to feed a dog for 24 hours - is this correct?

Symptoms: Vomiting

Yes....offer nothing........if after about 8 hours...try offering a very small amount of plain boiled rice and chicken...see if he holds it down.

If he continues to vomit stop everything by mouth and take to a vet.
