My weimaraner has swollen and red paws, sometimes they bleed in spots, and little wart like bumps in various places on her body. What could this be?

Hi There. It sounds like she could have an allergy or a type of dermatitis on her feet. Has this only recently started happening? Does she have any other areas on her body? Also the damp weather doesnt help with problems like this as their feet stay damp and it helps any bacteria that are already there multiply. What would be best to help is to thoroughly dry the feet once she is in from a walk. Also bathing the feet twice daily with either a salt water solution or an antiseptic from the vet. Obviously if it doesnt clear up the you would need to take her to the vet, as some times they can get small mites in their feet, but to check for these a skin scrape from the feet needs to be taken. Possibly antibiotics may be needed to clear up any infection. See how you get on. Selena
