My dog (male Corgi, neutered, 4 yrs old) pees all over things in the house. He is healthy and gets plenty of outdoor time. Where should I start to solve this problem?

    Hi

There are many reasons why he is doing this, for instance he may be marking to make him feel more secure around the house, he may have be advertising his presence, just scenting new objects, showing a breakdown in toilet training or have a medical problem. We must never assume just one reason without gaining all the relevant information and seeing the dog so your best bet is to go to your vets, get your Corgi checked over and if they can't find anything wrong ask then to refer you to a qualified dog behaviourist.

Meanwhile wipe down the areas with biological washing powder and Febreeze and don't get cross with him for doing it.

    All the best

Good Dog? Bad Dog? By Rosie Barclay. This book concentrates on changing the traditional views of how we perceive and treat our dogs using what we have learned from scientific research so far. It starts at the beginning by looking at ways of how to chose and bring up a new puppy that may reduce the likelihood of future problems. It then goes on to cover different problems that commonly occur between owners and their maturing or adult dogs by discussing real case studies. TO BUY VISIT www.rosiebarclay.com
