have a dalmation /akita mix. He has been increasingly ill, we brought him to the vet on Thursday and by Friday he became a patient. Blood taken on Thursday came back with high and low. His skin has been yellowing, no appetite except for once in awhile. They gave him antibiotics, vitamin B, steroids, and fluids all weekend and he is getting worse. We had a ultrasound done and they found abnormalities with his liver. They went with needle and they have no conclusive result. Is there anything else I can do to help him? We up'd his steroid to Pred.

Shou SaiSymptoms: anemia, no appetite & anorexia, increased thirst & urination -
Matthew says:
Ask your vet if they have checked for IMHA - immune mediated haemolytic anaemia. This is where the body destroys its own red blood cells. If he is anaemic have they considered a blood transfusion?
If he still has an appetite you can feed him diets designed for liver disease.
There are many liver supplements that claim great effect but may or may not help; try entirelypets.com as a supplier or your vet may stock some.
