my cat had a bladder infection in aug '07. she is now drinking constantly from the toilet and urinating in every place but her litter box even though her litter box is clean. I am afraid she has diabetes. is that possible?

Hello!
From looking at the cats profile she is 18yrs old. Yes, diabetes could be a possibility - although given her age and the drinking more I would be more inclined to say it was kidneys problems.
This can be tested by a blood sample at your vets
You coud also obtain a urine sample at home to see if there was any Glucose in it (Indicating Diabletes) or lecicytes (Indicating infection) and to see the specific gravity of the urine (This would indicate just how well the kidneys are working). This can all be done at the vets.

It is a possibility if she is prone. The sure way to test for this is by obtaing a urine sample and taking it to the vets. You can use non absorbant cat liiter to collect a sample, alternatively you can take her to the vets and they can obtain a cystocentesis sample (By putting a fine needle that they don't even feel into her bladder) to get a sample.
Certainly infection or kidney problems are high on the books
