I have already sent a question but am not sure if it went through so i will repeat it.

My dog mandy is almost totally blind and can hardly hear which i know comes with age but she has had these seizures for several months now where she shakes like she is freezing and pants like she is burning up and she cant sit still during this time. It comes on at any time and can last for a few minutes or even an hour can you help her?.
Thank You

    Dear Bob,

Of course there are many reasons why an old dog may have seizures as you describe. What does concern me is how long they are lasting. If she is getting very hot during the seizure then there is a chance that her brain is also getting too hot and may be causing further damage. If these episodes are lasting as long as you describe then I would suggest you speak to your vet about providing some medication for Mandy to help reduce the frequency/ control totally these seizure episodes.
