My vet wants Pete to eat only wet food which he does not like. He will only eat it after starving himself all day. How good are the dry urinary tract formulas?

Hi. If a special urinary diet is necessary, the dry diets can be as good as the wet ones, but you need to check with your vet why he or she specified wet food. It's very important that cats with urinary disease get enough fluid intake, so if you feed dry food, make sure there are numerous water supplies all over the house. Cats will often drink too little rather than go to get water from an area they avoid or which brings them into contact with stress- such as other cats domain.
