Eating Moldy Food

The dog food that I was feeding my dog, turned moldy. Before I noticed it, he ate some and was throwing up. Is there any long term effects from him eating the moldy food?

Yes mouldy food can have serious toxic consequences. The first symptom that springs to mind is neurological problems ( only because I had a case recently) and then gastointestinal issues ( vomitting or diarrhea).

If he is still vomitting or in the slightest way abnormal you should have him checked over by your vet.

    Good luck

He seems to be okay, the vomiting has stopped, but he is eating a lot of grass, so I don't know if that means his stomach is still bothering him. He is not throwing up the grass though

the scientists have never really found out the true reason behind eating grass despite many theories out there. Some think its because they feel sick and it makes them vomit and some think they eat it and then feel sick because they ate it!

AS long as he is doing better little by little then that is a good thing. You might want to feed him a bland diet (eg chicken and rice) for the next few days to help ease his tummy upset a little
