my hamster that we have had for over a year has become very inactive over the last few hours. He will not open his eyes and his genital area has swollen greatly. What do you think?

Hi there, sorry to hear your hamster is not very well, you really need to get him to a vet as soon as you can today, it could possibly be some kind of infection or something more serious such as a tumour, given the fact the area is alot more swollen than normal and along with his other symptons he doe need medical attention. Let me know how you get on.
