My 8 year old cocker spaniel has horrible breath and is missing front teeth on top and bottom. She has no trouble eating dry food or chewing hard objects. What can be done about her breath?

Commonly bad breath is a sign of infection in the mouth. It is hard to control or eliminate the bad breath without eliminating the infection.  A rotine dental cleaning with your family Veterinarian is the best place to start.  If the doctor finds that there is a bacterial infection, it could be cleared up with antibiotics, and with the dental cleaning the doctor can thoroughly inspect your dogs mouth and treat any problems that might be causing the infection. Mouth infections, if left untreated could get into your dogs blood stream and cause more serious problems than bad breath. Good Luck
