hip dysplasia

My 12yo dog has hip dysplasia really bad. she is on toradol (rimadyl shut down her kidneys before). Her back end collapses when trying to walk lately, she cant come upstairs and has to lay down when going for a walk every few feet and She has alot of trouble getting up also. what to do?

Symptoms: Pain, Collapse, Lameness

    Hello!

    Has your vet tried Meloxicam (Metacam - copmes in oral liquid or tablet form)?? This is a non steroidal anti inflammatory like Riamady. Although - I would appreicate that it could cause a similar problem as thenRiamdyl if the dog already has kidney reated probelms.

    Have you tried Glucosamine? Humans can also take this to aid in arthirit developments and joint pain/problem. There are many varieties of this available. This is defiantely worth a go.
