i have an 8 month old female cat who suddenly is very lethargic, lays in her litter box a lot, and there are little black things crawling on her face. I put a flea collar on her 3 days ago but she is still acting strange. What is wrong with her and what should i do? Also on the pillow where she likes to sleep I found little tiny black things that moved like worms. help me!

Hi there, it sounds like your kitten has alot of fleas, Often flea collars are ineffective andyou should use something like frontline or advantage. A large amount of fleas can actually kill a kitten, as they become anaemica, i.e they dont have enough blood in their system.

You will need to treat her, her bedding and the house as there will be flea eggs over the house which will continue to reinfest over the next two weeks.

The lethargy could be anaemia as she will not have the energy to do things.

i would advice using a veterinary flea treatment as soon as possible, and if she remains lethargic to take her to the vets.

    Regards
