Dog throwing up

Rating: 10

My dog has been throwing up on and off for over a week now. He throws up mostly stomach acid and partly digested food. He does not have a fever, and when not about to throw up does not act sick at all. He is drinking plenty, so is not dehydrated. I have split his meals up into 3 a day which helps him keep the food down. I am a few hours away from the nearest vet, so what can I do myself? Thanks!

Your dog probably food allergies. Dogs that vomit as he does are often sensitive to wheat and beef products. Try a pepcid 1/2 pill daily when he gets nauseous and check  out my website for diet tips for allergic dogs. Treats like bones, greenies, and rawhides are especially incriminated to cause symptoms. Watch the ingredients in all foods and treats and you should see a difference in a month.

Ten years ago I started using nutrition to help resolve many common and chronic ailments, and now dietary/nutrition counseling is part of my treatment. I have a new book, called Dog Dish Diet: Sensible Nutrition for Your Dog's Health and a blog.

It worked great! He hasn't had any problems since I started him on the pepcid. It was really easy to get too, even though I'm living out in the bush of AK :) Thankyou!
