my dog is 2 yrs old and is 18 lbs. I just got some advantax k9 for fleas. My dog is 3 lbs under the weight of 21-55 lbs Is It ok to use the flea med?

    Hi there. Strictly speaking it probably wouldn't be a problem as the toxic dose for these meds is usually quite high but this medication covers a weight about 3x your dog's weight so if theres any chance you can go back to the shop and get it exchanged, I would do so.  The pic shows 2 dogs so I guess the other option is to split the flea control between the two dogs (if they are both due).  All these suggestions are off label so unfortunately I can't really guarantee that this will be effective and neither will the manufacturer so if you can get it excanged for the right size, this ould be better!

    Deepa, thank you very much, i just ordered the right weight flea med for sadie. better to be safe then sorry.Im not going to exchange because BB my other dog is 25 lbs so it's ok for her. Artie
