Some/most cats are not fond of water and will never allow a bath.

They are very clean and usually do not 'need' a bath unless they get into something foul, or bring home a 'present'

It may be something where you will have to comprimise and use baby wipes  or even fill a tub with water, place him in quickly, rub shampoo on, then place him in again. I would do your best to get all of the shampoo off.

    Good luck:)
